Why won't my ex add me back on facebook, but will talk to me over and inbox message?

i deleted him about 4 months ago, when we broke up. he has a new girlfriend. we did meet up a month ago, and we are on good terms...so why can't we be friends on facebook?

Maybe he won't add you back because it was you that deleted him. And maybe his girlfriend wouldn't like it. And maybe he's not completely over you. And maybe he doesn't want you spying on his relationship status and what his girlfriend is posting on this wall. And maybe he doesn't to see the same on yours. Lots of different reasons.

He might just want time away from you. Give him some time or ask him why he won't be friends with you. That's what I'd do with my ex.
