I dated this guy for 3 years and we broke up. Now he is with this girl that I really don't like. The other night he gave her a promise ring and I really don't think that is right because we were together for 3 years and they have been together for 3 weeks. What do I do?

Wow girl..i can only imagine the emotions you felt..jealousy, sadness, confusion, and maybe wondering why you weren't the one that got a ring? in any case, those feelings are so normal. I don't know how long ya'll have been broken up but a broken heart takes time to heal. Guys in general tend to get over things quicker. They seem to be wired that way..but my best advice in what you're saying is...be content with you. Be confident that he missed out..not you. Just cause you don't like her doesn't mean anything that's not his problem who broke up with who?? anyways if he knows you don't like her he could be doing it to get you jealous. If you want him back then turn on the game without crossing any boundaries, respect the fact that he has a girl now and if you don't like her for other reasons then the fact that she's with your man, try being friends with her. First off you need to think about your situation and then think about how jealous you are..maybe you need to move on because it seems that he has.ok promise rings are only good if you mean it but if you don't then there's no point other than making a girl think that she has a big chance. Its hard to get over someone that you've been with for that much amount of time but I really think you should make that big leap and just get over him...

In my experience it seems almost like he is trying to make you not guilty but envy something about her or him, or maybe he just did not like your or thought that was no future like marriage. If you ask me the whole promise ring after 3 weeks is kind of over the edge, since he knew you, like pet peeves and things that you liked and dislikes, so if you can I would try to talk to him and no matter what being as honest as you can now of course if you think that you need to keep some things private from him then by all means but let him know how you feel because then he does not have to say anything but that helps you to move on if that is what is going to happen...

What do you do?? Nothing. There is nothing to do. It sucks but by doing or saying anything you're just gonna create a situation and drama when there doesn't need to be any. You need to just go out and have fun and hang with friends because he's not worried about you so you shouldn't be concerned with him
