My ex owes me money. Should I text him about it?

I broke up with my ex several weeks ago. We hadn’t been dating very long and it was a really amicable breakup, but we each had some of each other’s stuff. He said he would pay me to mail his to him, so I did. It was about $12 to mail it, which doesn’t seem like a lot, but it’s a significant amount to me because I am a poor college student. It’s been over a week since the package was supposed to arrive now and I’ve heard nothing from my ex. He didn’t ask how much he owes me or anything. Should I politely remind him that he owes me money?

You can remind him, but of it's something you have to constantly ask for it and it turns into a hassle, then I'd just let it go... $12 isn't that much to be out, considering there's men and women that lose far more than that by people that were using them for their money...

He said he would so maybe remind him that but honestly it's just 12 bucks, if you ended a relationship that wasn't a good fit for whatever reason and you're only out 12 bucks I'd just let it go, not worth an argument.
I mean really what is 12 bucks worth? Fast food once or twice? Not being a dick or trying to insult you, and its messed up he isn't paying it but 12 bucks won't break you

Honestly he probably won't give you the money you can ask but I never got any money back from my ex.. if he pays you back thats great but was never my experience.

Yes, why wouldn't you. If I had been you I would of sent it collect and he would of had to pay USPS before he could get the package.
