Blocking ex forever?

My ex says he's blocking me forever. I'm a little bit confused even though he seems happy and like he has moved on and even though I treated him like trash and he has to go to therapy after the break up, I don't think I deserve to be blocked forever. Is it normal to block someone forever or is that just immature, weak and weird

I've never blocked an ex, but I probably would if one of them was being abusive or if I felt that she was stalking me with bad intentions. Also, I might do it if it seemed pretty clear that she was having trouble moving on from the relationship and it seemed like blocking her might help with that.

Some people block exes because they think it's easier for them to move on if they don't have reminders of their ex but from what you said it seems that your ex has moved on so that's probably not the reason for it.

It's also possible that he has a girlfriend that pushed him to block you. Some people seem to get very upset if the person they're dating still has an connection to an ex..
