Guy's say stuff like that to throw you off track. Like if you are out with a guy on a date and a very attractive woman (girl) is around, he will probably comment about how she's not HIS type. One day when I was married, one of my friends came over with this very attractive young lady (20ish) who I had never seen before. I didn't even know my friend was bringing her over. After they left, I asked my young husband what he thought of her. He said "She had a dish face ". He liked her, but didn't want me to know. It's a guy thing.
