I think taking breaks can be effective and important for some relationships, not all. My experience with taking breaks never worked. I just think that it’s best to either cut off contact and break up completely, or stay together and communicate to work things out. I think taking a break is just a free pass to meet other people while having you on the line when they want to be committed again. I see it often.
