The only way to create space and heal from a break-up by letting time and distance disinfect old wounds and let memories subside. Studies have shown that your sensitivity to certain stimuli i. e songs, smells, places etc. takes time to disassociate and for the brain to process the separation.

Both genders do this, and I don't really understand because I've never done it.
Granted, I've only liked people in school and you can't block others in real life. It's probably just to say they never want to be contacted again.

It´s also a sign that they don´t believe that a friendship with an ex is possible.

Girls do the same thing. The girl I dated blocked my before I could even respond to her breakup text. Not everyone blocks though.

Exes are past history. Communication is no longer necessary or wanted. It is best to move on and consider the ex a total stranger.
