Mens mental health?

So I’m currently building my mental health I was super depressed because my girlfriend left me. It hurt me so much that I could tell I needed to strengthen my mind because of how bad I took it. She didn’t take the break up as bad and she still talks to me as friends. When I talk to her I get sad and feeling start to come. Is letting those feeling come back knowing damn well she isn’t coming back healthy in strengthening the mind to no be so weak? I know I should just delete her from my existence but I don't know what I’m doing right now
