My ex and I have been broken up for 2 months now. We don't really communicate often. We had a brief conversation earlier today via text but stopped texting soon after. Then tonight he randomly texted me good night out of the blue which he has not done since we broke up... Does this mean anything?

How long were you together? My last ex and I were together for 2ish years. It took months for the communication to slow down even though we both knew neither of us were going to try to get back together with the other. Personally it made me feel worse. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything. But I don’t know what caused you to break up. That could also factor in.
