Who gave you the impression that God protected anybody? He lets us kill innocents en masse.
I agree.
Sorry. It all makes sense when you accept that God isn’t real.

God does not interfere with us.
If he did, it would spoil our spirituality and sense of personal responsibility and growth. You'll then start to heavily depend on him to do things for you, and then blame him when he doesn't... which means you learn NOTHING.
The idea of prayer, in my opinion, is to keep YOU close to God, so that you're reminded not to forget him. That is what gives you spiritual strength. You do not pray as if he were some kind of genie granting wishes.
I don't think you'll even get a clear answer to why you and your ex broke up, because we don't know your circumstances. It is likely that you and ex were just not compatible.
Tragedies are going to happen.
Sad, but I believe you're right about that. Thank you.
However, I do believe we were at least SOMEWHAT compatible, especially physically because otherwise, I wouldn't even have wanted it (the relationship) in the beginning. But yeah, a relationship is obviously more than physical compatibility.

One word: NOPE!
Check this out, straights from the man (Jesus) himself:
“In this world you will have trouble.” John 16:33. There you have it: Jesus himself tells us to expect problems and trouble in life. People who expect life to suddenly become problem free when they start praying or believing in God know/understand very little about God. This is addressed throughout the Bible.
Because God doesn’t exist. If he does exist then he has a plan for everyone so praying for what you want to happen or not happen doesn’t matter cause he already has your destiny in his hands. He doesn’t even protect innocent babies from murder, rape, etc. So why would he protect couples? “God” is part of a designed system to keep a majority of people under control.
„It doesn't work, Frank. God doesn't punish the wicked and reward the righteous. Everyone dies. Some die because they deserve to; others die simply because they come from Minneapolis. It's random and it's meaningless.“
- Mitch Leary, In the Line of Fire
oh honey... this has nothing to do with god. you have to take some responsibility for your own life. also, why did you think that god protects relationships? have you never heard of divorced people? do they not exist to you?
problems and arguing is a healthy part of long lasting relationships. the way you both handle it together is what keeps the relationship together.
But not if it happens often and one partner isn't stable or narcissistic. Unfortunately (very unfortunately), mine was. Thanks for your input.
well yes, it takes two people putting in effort, not just one. so it wasn't meant to be and you can move forward without him and find someone else that better suits your needs.
That's not how God works.
Jesus never promised an easy life (John 15)
How do you know he was a true believer? Let alone how do you know he truly loved you?
Good point.
Being religious is not a protective shield from bad things happening in your life.
My mom seems to think so.
Dad too.
Yeah, of course, that's what they've been told to believe
You seem to have been under the misapprehension, that god gives a damn and has power.
Thank you.
That's cute.
