Would you be able to remain friends and keep in contact with an ex. Why or why not?
I tried in the past with one of my exes: it didn't work out and I swore not to befriend exes again. Why? There's a reason they're called "exes."
Even though we broke up on good, mutual terms, after our breakup, he told mutual friends and guys I was interested in things I told him in absolute privacy (which on a sidenote, also proves guys can gossip just as badly as women, haha). Point is, he violated my trust and privacy, so I broke all ties with him and moved on.
I'm sure some people can befriend their exes and it is possible to just be "friends." But usually it's better just to cut ties with them and move on with your life post-breakup. You can be friendly to them if you run into them in public, or share mutual friends. But otherwise I would avoid them.
I could because I have no feelings and would not be jealous at all if I saw him with somebody else and I still want them to be happy and well adapted.
Unless you have children together, WHY would you want to remain friends with an ex?

I would be able to remain friends as long as he didn't suddenly have a new girlfriend. That would be too heartbreaking. If both of us had new partners, then it might be okay
One of my exes is my best friend and another ex I'm still friends with.
No, he treated me like shit
