Should I just move on from this guy?

He told me he never kept in touch with an exe.

A while back he pushed me out his life. He practically stopped speaking to me. Then after a few weeks came back into my life. Recently, he told me he pushed me out his life because he'd been helping an ex , who he is friends with, through a difficult time and felt guilty seeing me. He said he wasn't back with her, but why would he feel guilty

Should I just move on from him?

I would. While it’s true he may have been helping her he may have felt that you would be jealous. But before I read your entire posting my first thought was it was another girl in his life to which I was right. He may have not been w her but he may have been beating her clam. Usually when men return like that, even women, it’s usually cause someone else entered their life. They only come back when they got what they wanted or when that other person shuts them down or dumps them or whatever the case may be. I wouldn’t doubt it if he was hitting that.

I’d just be straight up honest w him rather than hinting or playing games yourself. You stick to your guns, tell him this isn’t what you want. Not like this. That his actions lately have left you u sure of a lot of things. That yes you may be making a mistake but it’s not a mistake you’re willing to take if he’s just playing around. He’s going to try to convince you otherwise that he isn’t playing around.

I have been reflecting on it for a while. My gut tells me he's playing me and seeing someone else. I'll say what you suggested, because you're right.. I wouldn't want to play mind games myself. Exactly what I was going to say. Why would he feel guilty. Sounds like he is just keeping you as an option. My ex was still very good friends with his ex. He didn't understand that it wasn't right. You should move on, you're going to be feeling as though he is still helping his ex if you decide to move forward with him. So best to find someone who puts you as a priority and not an option.
