I have kept in touch with ex-girlfriends before. Usually just to see what they are up to.

Well, the times where I've kept in touch, it was with someone who I dated for quite some time. Like after college I dated a lady for a little over a year. I called her maybe once every two or three months just to see what was up in her life. It wasn't for any nefarious reasons... LOL

Why do you think they do this

Because something didn’t work out in their life and they want to revert back so they contact their ex hoping they’ll take them back. But that’s all bs and trouble.
