What to do when my husband no longer loves me?

Husband and I almost divorced a few weeks ago and he decided to come back home and try again. When he came back he mentioned he didn’t miss me the month he was gone and doesn’t love me and had to “learn” to like me again. Ever since he came back his phone password is changed, he tries extra hard to dress up to work (he never use to) and is not affectionate physically or verbally. He has been back for 2 weeks and have had sex twice. He’s disrespectful when he talks to me stil and will curse me. Like he’ll say shut up bitch. How do I salvage this marriage if he won’t do counseling? I’m still in love with him and the thought of leaving breaks my heart :(

I'm curious what you mean when you say "I still love him". Do you realize what men want... respect? To be valued, esteemed.

What's the root issue you think? What started the ball rolling... communication, disagrement about children, values, trust, etc.. Does he not undersatnd your hormonal cycle and know how to handle you then? Are you dumping on him, is he immature? blah blah... million things can go wrong...

Gonna be tough because guys when emotionally hurt shut down and the women start to lose control of emotions and "dump" emotion, a lot of stuff can get broken fast. He's a clam in a shell now but can blow up. It's possible to save, we saved our relationship, I know others have... anthing's possible, but hard mental and emotional work for sure. It's worth at minimum... understanding what's going on, and that requires getting out of your head... therapists help with that but aren't magic cure. Just reading books on such subject or videos that get you talking and communicating can help.

The reasons why you are at this point are in the past... starting in childhood experiences... for attraction is sub conscious. The reasons why are in the personalities, communication abilities. There's a lot we don't know. And is there a "faith".

You are clearly "emoting" with him and know his soft spots, which is why he's shutting you down with some mean words.

I’m so sorry. It seems like this is pretty much over. You have done all that you can. He’s disrespectful. Hardly any sex life. He’s not affectionate and not being a good husband to you. At all!

He’s being abusive. He refuses to go to counseling. There isn’t much else you can do. Maybe he’s doing you a favor divorcing you so you can find someone better.

It does not sound like he is making a sincere effort as related to restoration of marriage. Clearly, he has other things going on too. I wish you best !!

Go to a marriage counselor. Then both of you need to actively follow through on the counselor’s advice and participate in sessions. As simply trying to work it out without healthy open communication, will just delay the inevitable and extend misery.
