Sometimes certain exes can be accepted back. It just depends on how they have changed or not

There’s a lot to factor in. Like is the relationship even fixable? Have one or both of us changed for the better? If the trust was broken can it be rebuilt? It’s true that reconciliation may work, but those cases seem far and few between compared to how staying broken up is usually the best choice.

So it is possible that the 2nd time around could be different but it usually isn't the case

There are cases of people cheating etc married and staying married. there are married divorce and re-married cases too. Generally, once broken up then it is done.

It's unusual, but some ex'es get back together. It depends on the situation, why they broke up, and who/what they are now.
