Is it ever a good idea to tell your ex that you still have feelings for them months later?

If he/her is with someone leave them alone.

If they're single it depends how much contact you still have with them. If you don't have contact really just send them a message like, "Hey, I was just thinking about you and was wondering how you were." Catch up with them.

You can ask if they ever think about how it was when you two were together and judge by their vibes if they still care about you or not. I think just say what you feel based on how well you're connecting in that moment.

You can reveal your feelings, but do it at the right time.

It depends:

1) If he tried hard to contact you but you ignored him, which means the ball was in your court. Then, yeah, you could do that..which is considered a reply.

2) If he pushed you away after the break-up, then ofcourse not. He will not reply whatever you say because he doesn't want anything to do with you.

3) If you ended on good terms, you could probably say it IF you are still friends and talks to you.

Briefly, say it if he's still in your life. Don't say it if he's pushing you away.

It depends on how you both get along now and also on how the break-up happened. Obviously, you can tell this only if he broke up with you. If you broke up with him, you can tell that your feelings for him have come back after the break.
