Our relationship was really good, but lately he’s been overwhelmed. I do want things to work out and want him back.

Object permeance? Update question.
Huh?
Object permanence is mostly unproven bullshit.
Plus you shouldn't date, let alone breed, people with mental issues like adhd. There are enough problems for the poor bastards, without adding kids under them.
As for you. Grow up and let him get the right help. You were in that relationship 2 years and 11 months too long anyway,
Do people with ADHD not have object permanence?
He'll come back just give him some time. Leave the door open and don't say anything crazy.
Apparently those with adhd struggle with out of sight out of mind. So my fear with no contact is just that. If it were a bad relationship, I’d move on. But it was truly good. There’s just a lot of variables on his end we’re dealing with: he’s military, long distance, and not sure how to end the long distance for now due to both of our jobs.
I love the distance. We are able to grow individually to be better for each other. I’ve worked on myself and lost 30 lbs. like I want us to do life together even if it means being a post for a while
Quit your jobs. The answers will come after you quit your jobs.
