My ex and I talked for two hours last night, is that a good sign?

We dated for 3 years, but recently went to long distance. We broke up about two weeks ago and haven't really talked since. It was killing me more not to talk to him so I called and we talked for two hours and I even talked to his family on speaker phone.

He broke up with me. I think he's interested in a coworker which is more the reason for him breaking up, she's closer to him and that's understandable.

If we're soulmates then we'll work out, it is what it is for now. But I am curious if you would talk to your ex for two hours if you didn't still have feelings.

This alone says that the relationship is OVER. I mean to go 3 years & just break up over something that you say elsewhere may be temporary military relocation strongly implies that he wanted to break up previously.

As for 2 hours of conversation... since you don't say what the conversation was about for all we know it was about as engaging as a weather report. I am not saying you have to be having a sexual conversation but you most likely spoke as friends - hey how are you, what's going on, etc. - means little for reconnecting. You were together for 3 years.

I may. But I could never trust him again if he was into someone else. Plus, Hearing his voice and knowing I could not trust him it would be hard to do. Maybe text first. You decide though about reuniting. Go slow.

Based on what you wrote up there, I would say you were giving this guy too much attention, you deserve better. If he is already chasing someone else, you don't want to win him back. You want somebody that will jump over hot coals for you, not somebody that you need to work to to merely convince him that you are the one..

I don't think it's such a good idea to go back to him, especially if another girl is the reason of your breakup. But, if you need to experience this to learn a lesson, you do you.

I think ours had a lot more to do with right person, wrong time. His job took him across the country and as people, we desire connection. It's not there 2000 miles away. But maybe someday.

It might be a good idea to think about the fact that he could be gone again just as easily as he could come back too. Being with someone who could be gone that easily through no fault of their own is kind of asking for heartbreak I think.
