If you live with your SO but plan to move out and break up, how much notice do you give them?

Like it would be awkward and probably really toxic to live together if you break up and they don’t handle it well.. if I have plans to end the relationship and move out, and pay for the next month rent so they aren’t left in the dust entirely, can I tell them the day before I move out? Or is that really wrong? I’m scared of their reaction since they’re like super into me.
