if I met them online do they count as being my ex? (LDR) I was arguing with someone about this topic, they keep saying that if I never met them then they are not my ex, but I think that whatever relationship if it ends than they turn into ur ex, it doesn't matter if it was distance or near. What do you think?

If you were invested in the relationship, there was a mutual emotional connection and it lasted more than a month, you are free to consider this a relationship and the person as your ex. This is personal preference, though, as you could also exclude this person from your list of ex-boyfriends, as it may have just been a fantasy created and nurtured in your head that never came to fruition.

If you felt a connection and were toghether in terms of beeing in a commited relationship then he is your ex. Distance doesn't play a role there.

An ex is not a pen pal nor a phone friend, or some person in Tibet you think is cool but you're never going to go there to be with them..
