How can a broken relationship be fixed?

This is not me, this is one of my close friends. But I'd like to see your experiences. Do you have any specific solutions to fix a broken relationship. There is no big issue here (cheating etc.), they just cannot communicate on things they do not agree..

Fixing a broken relationship isn't easy, but it's definitely possible with effort and willingness from both sides. ​

It's like trying to glue back a favorite mug – tricky, but worth it if you really love that mug. Here's my two cents based on what I've learned (sometimes the hard way):

Chat it Out: Seriously, just talk. Grab a coffee, sit down, and spill the beans. No accusing, no yelling. Just plain old "Here's how I feel, what about you?" kind of talk.

Own Up to the Mess: You've gotta admit where things went sideways. Maybe you're a workaholic, maybe they're bad at texting back. Whatever it is, lay it out on the table.

Say Sorry and Mean It: If you goofed up, own it and apologize. But here's the kicker – you've gotta be ready to forgive them too. No forgiveness, no moving forward.

Take a Breather: Sometimes you need to step back to see the whole picture. Go for a walk, hit the gym, just clear your head.

Trust Takes Time: If trust got shattered, you can't just duct tape it back together. Show that you're reliable again, bit by bit.

Counseling: If things are super tangled, sometimes a neutral third party can help unknot the mess. No shame in that.

Self-Check: Look, we've all got our quirks and flaws. Maybe you need to work on your patience, or they need to up their communication game.

Relive the Good Old Days: Remember why you fell for each other. Do that goofy dance, watch your favorite movie, just reconnect with those happy vibes.

It'sYou gotta find the right pieces of the puzzle to fit it back together. Takes patience, a bit of elbow grease, and a whole lot of love. But hey, if the mug's worth it, you'll make it work!

Here are some things that could help fix a broken relationship through better communication:

- Set aside quality time each week for a no-distraction talk. Put phones away so you're fully present.

- Use "I feel" statements instead of blaming to share how an issue makes you feel without attacking.

- Listen actively by making eye contact, paraphrasing back what they said to show you understand their view.

- Find compromises where you each give a little rather than trying to "win" an argument.

- Show affection even when disagreeing to keep the bond strong through tough talks.

- Suggest keeping a calm, gentle tone so you don't rise to anger which makes things worse.

- Identify specific behavior changes that could help rather than vague promises to "do better."

Unfortunately this relationship is done. Communication is huge in a relationship. If you can't have a basic conversation and one is getting upset. Well the other person has found someone else. This is a sign of rejection and she/he is moving on without you. Ots time to move on. Thos won't workout and why would you want to be in a relationship or fix something that can always lead to this again. Why fix something that will lead to it being toxic.

Unfortunately, communication is the most critical aspect of the relationship.

So I would say they have to work first on their communication skills. To be honest, I don't know any couple who solved such a problem without support from outside... or people ask friends to be mediators, who pinpoint improper communication during sessions or work with a psychologist.

Well, a relationship can only be fixed if the two people involved are willing to work on it. In a relationship you often need to put your egos aside. Your feelings are not more important than your partner’s. You won’t always be right. Do not assume anything. Until people do not realize this their relationship in never going to work.

It's nothing more or less than hard work. Both parties will have to work on it. If just one of them tries, then the problems just stay there and never really get fixed. They just end up being there dealing with shit instead of them working as a unit again.
