Should I live in same apartment complex as my ex?

I haven’t talk to my ex in months but our relationship ended sour almost a year ago. We talked a few months ago catching up on each others and I was talking to him about getting my first apartment. Most apartments here are high and they are not any good. He gave me some advice and even recommended that I move in the same apartment complex as him because it’s cheap. That was the last time we ever talk. I also learned a while ago that he changed his number.. not sure why.
