If your ex is still frequently talking good/bad about you does it mean they haven’t moved on completely?

I think talking bad about an ex frequently would be the biggest indicator as to whether or not they’ve moved on. Moving on doesn’t always have to mean they want their ex back either, but also unresolved resentment and bitterness that they’re hanging on to. I know someone who isn’t even the ex of a person, but constantly slanders them for how things ended, yet swears up and down they don’t want this ex-situation back because they think this person is gay, amongst other things.

True!! I think talking bad is the most suspicious. Especially when they are randomly taking about you, which shows that they are thinking about you still. I’ve been 3 times in the last month that my ex is randomly bringing me up, either making digs towards me or just taking about the breakup when the person he’s speaking to is already very well aware. My family is saying because I was his longest relationship he’s probably doing it to try and vent and forget about me. We stayed connected after the breakup then I cut him off for good 8 months later. (4 months ago)

It points to some unresolved issues or thoughts. If they say good things, then that's pretty nice. If they say bad things there's nothing you can really do about it, though, so... 🤷🏻‍♀️
