So she was physically and verbally abusive towards me and ultimately broke up with me and turning everyone against me but when it came to moving I noticed that she hung on to a pink flower beer I had bought her for a previous Valentine’s Day as well as other gifts. Normally people discard these things. Cause at one point in time she had said I made her feel loved so I’m just curious if these gifts which were coming from a place of love from me now represent trophy’s from a broken fractured relationship that was lost.

It just seems so strange cause she worked so hard to villainize and turn everyone against me but then wants to hold onto things I bought her

Who knows. I have things from my exes but they are clothes and I like them personally, so I kept them.
So I get holding on to things for sentimental value but if the person was abusive towards that person I guess that’s where it seems like a trophy to me. She abused me and then once I no longer served a purpose she broke up with me I was just a punching bag who provided resources. We co-signed a car that she took from me and claimed almost immediately. I was always there for her and cared about things she went through but she never cared about my situations I just had to work through it
They -are- the trophies.
