Ex wants to stay friends and follow me on Social Media?

It’s officially been a month since my ex boyfriend broke up with me. He says he wants to stay friends, still follows me on social media and says he still wants to talk and potentially reassess getting back together after working on himself and getting comfortable with his job because I’m “literally the perfect girl”.

He hasn’t spoken/texted or called me at all though? And while he still has me on social media, he’s following all these new, very beautiful girls in the area. And he then later proceeds to unfollow the girls a week later - I’m just confused, and would love to know other people’s perspective.

Sounds like he just wants to have you as a doormat. If you are the perfect girl for him than there is no need to break things off with you. It's like he wants to explore other options and if that doesn't work out come back to you since you'll still be there. It's best for you to move on and unfollow him. He is an ex for a reason and decided to break up with you so he might do it again in the future. There are plenty of good guys out there so don't bother waiting until "he is ready or works on himself". Ignore him like he is doing to you but don't give in if he comes back. Just go on about your life
