Why do married men like to play around apart from the obvious?

Apart from obvious reasons why do married men like to play around with women?
I mean play with women’s feelings, there was a man I knew and he acted as if he was single, we chatted online and out of the blue he admitted he was still married.
It was frustrating because he claimed he and his wife were separated but turns out they aren’t after he was flirting and even wanted me to come over to his place!
Then he got annoyed when I called him out on it and said he was happy with her and I blocked him.

Why do people do this and think it’s ok to lie and hurt others and their feelings?

To be honest with you , it’s because he isn’t happy in his marriage , Girls’ do this shit as well , something is missing in the relationship for him or her to go outside of the marriage. Why people shouldn’t get married to anyone until they know for sure they are both head over heels for each other. Most people jump into relationships without looking at the big picture , because they are both just infatuated with each other in the beginning , but as time goes on they realize they really don’t have much in common with each other , or one of them changed. Love only grows when 2 people choose each other and remove selfishness for each other , if they both aren’t doing that for each other? That relationship will not make it whatsoever. Most people are selfish and only really care about themselves. I was married to a girl that turned selfish on me and decided she only wanted things her way , The love her and I use to share together faded away because she chose selfishness over our marriage. I no longer rush into relationships with girls’ because of this reason. I prefer FWB’s with some strings attached before giving my heart completely to another girl. People are selfish and that’s why relationships do not last. I have slept with married women that lied about being married , I have slept with a married women that didn’t lie about being married , so it all stems down to selfishness. Prove me wrong

Because we, both males and females, are not naturally predisposed to monogamy.. as such, men would want to copulate with as many women as possible along with having somebody to care for them but realizing that the extended family caring for his progeny is no longer an option he seeks out one person to mother his children while he still seeks out others. Cheating has absolutely nothing to do with the offended spouse, cheating has everything to do with novelty, fun, thrill of the chase, taboo, forbidden, ego, etc...

Well, if the man is living in his space/place and the wife does not live with him and he has little to no contact with his wife after a certain time, legally, then he is technically separated but still married. It's not surprising for a man to seem to behave to act single because he has issues with his wife during separation but in no way did this man intentionally or unintentionally deceive you. It would have been worse if this man outright lied to you, invited you over, tried to pressure you into sex whilst you were with him, and made intimate physical contact with you. Trust me, ma'am, this is an overreaction. He is an otherwise decent man to tell you outright that he was married. If you interpreted that he was flirting with you, well, it is possible he anticipated that maybe after a separation pending a possible divorce settlement you could be his runner up but it's clear that this didn't work out for either of you.

Most married men don't do this. But if you look at those who do, they were usually men who were always popular with women and who were used to sleeping with a lot of different women before they got married. Some may have believed they could change once they got married (but couldn't), and some got married knowing they had no intention of remaining faithful. Either way, nearly all of them are simply reverting back to what was always normal for them: sleeping with whomever they wanted.

The lesson here is that past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. If you get with someone who has always been a jerk, or a bitch, or a criminal, or a cheater, or is irrational, or mean, or violent, or jealous, or whatever, they're almost certainly going to be that way with you too. If you think you're going to change/fix someone, you are probably delusional, and you will probably end up paying a high price for your delusions.

I will always be very clear on my marital status. Last year, I met a woman at the beach. She was actually the one who came over to talk to me. We met again a few days later, talked a bit more and I made it very clear that I was married and had a child. She was married too, only she liked to walk along the shoreline alone.

Granted, some men will look for the thrill of flirting with another woman – even if they don’t go any further than that – but most of us don’t. We know very well where the red lines are.

As for the remark that once you have a child, the time a woman dedicates to her husband is divided in two, of course we understand that. I think that the first 3 months or so, we kind of disappear from the emotional map altogether. You learn to live with it and rekindle the spark as years go by.

It’s not right but that’s what many men do.
The reasons: not getting the love we desire from home… that might be actual love or might just be sex. Some guys just want to see if they can still attract a girl. Some guys as they get older just want to touch another women before they get too old to do it. There are probably another 100 reasons I can’t even think of right now.

To the women who read this:
once you have a child the time you gave your man is now divided in two (or more). Men feel that and understand it. But when all a wife’s time goes to the child and none to the husband, men will stray. Just be aware.

I never cheated but based on what I've seen in life it's always just about sex, even for women. But people make excuses to make themselves feel better about cheating. And they can also develop new feelings for the person they cheat with. But usually they just fake being into that new person at first and the new person believes it.

I has an ex-supervisor who was married yet he would chase several of my female collogues around. Funny thing , his wife works in the same building but he does not care. On one occasion I encountered him doing some heavy flirting with a female worker half his age. . I walked right past them in the hallway and I don't think they noticed me. I didn't say shit.
