How to get over someone you didn’t love?

I was dating a girl for a few months and believe me when I say she really was great. The kindest soul I have ever met. However we didn’t click, i don’t think I loved her as I don’t think I was over my ex. We gave it a go but it didn’t work out and I could tell at the time I didn’t love her properly I didn’t have that you know when you know feeling.
When we was together was a weird time for me I lost a close relative and as mentioned don’t think I was over my ex.
I didn’t put in the effort I know I can with her and i do regret it and take full responsibility for that.

Even though we stopped seeing eachother two months ago, it’s only jus really hit me now, is this normal? I can’t stop thinking about her even though I knew it wouldn’t work out. I feel heartbroken even though I knew I didn’t love her. I’m back in the same boat of thinking I will never find someone whose as good as her again and feel like I won’t find love again, anyone been in a similar situation?

No if at all this should show you that there's always someone out there who will like you and who you will like.

They won't be like your ex or the other girl but I mean this didn't stop you beeing interested in that girl aswell when you werent over your ex.

there's plenty of fish in the sea. You will eventually find another one.

Learn some lessons from the experience. Don’t start dating after a breakup if you aren’t emotionally available. And done expect to fall in love in two months; that’s still the infatuation phase.

By accepting that that part of your life is over. She was strong enough to accept it and move on, try to do the same.

I don't know but I think you're going through grief from both... the loss of your relative and unresolved feelings from your past. Time is your ally to get over it.
