I’m genuinely so confused as to why guys do this

me and my ex have been broken up for over a year now and recently he's been asking my friend about me and how I am doing everytime he sees my friend and today he liked my story but I went back and didn’t see his name anymore on the viewer list so he probably unliked it

so I’m confused as to why he is so curious about me if he doesent want me and wants nothing to do with me?
