If you were with someone for a very long time and they were cheating for a few months and you got back together with them after or were trying to cause you dumped him, would you be able to ever trust them ever again? Do you think it would cause a lot of issues in your guys relationship in the future? Do you think it would last?

My ex cheated on me but never got to having sex with the other girl. They were mostly just being lovey dovey and went on a couple of dates together, nothing physical happened yet other than a hug some hand holding. I guess because there was no kissing or sex involved I could still move on from it (still very hard and hurtful for sure!). After a ton of genuine effort, we managed to rebuild the trust.
