Why does my friend have me blocked even though him and his girlfriend broke up?

I had this friend I used to work with and we became good friends. He had a girlfriend at the time we were working together. As soon as he left the company, his girlfriend at the time messaged me saying this is his girlfriend and that even though he and I had a great friendship that it had to end. So I gave them space then he broke up with his girlfriend a year later and I reached out and he blocked me even though he has asked my coworker how I was doing? What’s your thoughts on this?

His girlfriend must have done a fantastic job brainwashing this guy and to have him obey like a little puppy. He must have been so under her yoke that he continued to act as he did when she was his girlfriend that he automatically blocked you thinking she was still bossing him around.

Jokes aside, why don't you guys just communicate on a face-to-face basis rather than just on social media. Is social media becoming the standard communication form and people don't interact in real life anymore?

As to why he blocked you, well, he seems to be an odd person that has some psychological issue, like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Nice one day and despicable the other.
