My ex is 4 years older than me at 51 years old , and the second she hit menopause she did a complete 360 on my ass , and she turned into more of a demon than she was before towards me , Statistics shows 70 percent of divorces are initiated by women going through Menopause After what I have experienced with her , I believe that’ statistic is True. Why I am seeking a younger girl moving forward , this time around , because by the time she hits Menopause , my ass will be old as dirt , and I won’t give a shit at that time lol

I haven't read anything about menopause (that would be women in their 50s) but I have read that 70-75 percent of divorces are initiated by women and if they are college educated they initiate 90 percent.

The family court laws need to change. Marriage is for life. If one person just abandons the contract and divorces (without proof of adultery or abuse) then they should not be REWARDED by receiving half of assets and taking the home of the other or getting alimony.

If you choose to end the union then you get no rewards.

Also, if one party cheats they should get no reward or benefits. They should get a reduced portion of assets and no alimony.

As it is now party A can cheat and betray party B and then take half of party B's assets and have the courts make party B pay them alimony. They have to keep going to work and toiling to pay for the existence of the one who betrayed them and destroyed the marriage vows.

Laws gotta change. Or else never marry or don't marry without the most iron clad prenup and keep the finances separate.

Probably yes. Menopause is called a second spring in some cultures because it's a woman's second new start on life. a lot of times divorce happens during that time because the woman is trying to drop all the negativity in her life and finally live for herself. Like a rebirth type of thing

Makes sense to me. Around menopause, their kids are more likely to be out of the house and that is probably the only thing holding a lot of women back from divorce. Statistics also show that the lower a man or woman's body count, the less likely they are to go through a divorce.

Yea once our kids’ got older it’s like all of a sudden she didn’t want to be with me anymore , she only wanted me when it was convenient for her , I was no longer her top priority , she would say things like I will always love you , because you are like family to me , basically implying her passion and desire for me went out the window. She barely wanted to be close to me , she stopped initiating intimacy and affection with me , to the point I felt like I no longer really mattered to her , she all of a sudden started prioritizing her friends’ over me and just expected me to stay at home and take care of everything while she was out about having a grand ol time without me. So I said fuck that , you aren’t writing Sucker on my head whatsoever, when she stopped getting her way with me , she flipped everything around and tried to act like she was a victim when really she was the POS. All I became to her , was a walking punching bag , anytime I was near her , she couldn’t say anything nice , her tone towards me was straight up rude bitch to the point I didn’t know who she was anymore. I asked her what is going on? Why are you all of a sudden treating me this way , nitpicking and criticizing and belittling and comparing me all of a sudden like I was no longer a good man to her. The things she was complaining about made no sense whatsoever, it was like she was finding reasons to be upset with me just so she can distance herself from me. This went on for quite sometime to the point I no longer felt loved or valued or respected by her anymore it’s almost like she wanted me to snap so she had an excuse to continue acting and behaving the way she was , So i eventually snapped and I told her if she no longer wants to be happy with me then it’s best we go our separate ways , because I am listening to you , but I don’t understand you anymore. She would try to flip things around and tell me I needed to change? I laughed and said the only person that changed here is you ,

Yep kids are old enough by then and if you've been stuck in the relationship for too long it just makes sense. Be gone foul beast. There is another blip up at 20 years and that would correlate to the empty nest and menopause.

My ex-wife and I were the same age and divorced at 50. Her sister also divorced at 50. They both started cheating in their late 40s. My new wife is a lot younger for the same reason you said. The average age of divorce here in Canada is 46.

My friend and former boss (a woman) had a hysterectomy, so it was basically forced early menopause. She went fucking ape shit.
