Personally I see A LOT of men being neglectful in their marriages. Where there’s clearly a problem, they tend towards neglect, avoidance, and estrangement. Women are WAY more assertive when it comes to addressing problems in a marriage. But when they see that all he wants to do about it is nothing, they file for divorce. Then these men act offended by it when any idiot could have seen in coming. Men respond to actions, not words. Unfortunately for them, it’s often too late.
Just like in the West, the woman was entitled to 50% of the man's resources in the case of divorce. But then they saw how the divorce rates had risen so they brought in a new law where whoever for example had bought the house kept the house - usually the man. This seems fair to me - if the man has worked and saved and bought the house with his own money and she hasn't paid anything towards it, surely he has every right to keep it.
Divorce rates dropped after that. Other women forced their men to sign over half of the house (that they'd bought with their own money) to her before she would marry him, so that in the case of the divorce she'd get half of it. Somehow this law was seen as being "unfair" to the woman. It would be a different story if it was the other way around of course.
But yeah it's mainly to do with that bias. Men might be in the same situations as women but less likely to divorce because they know she can legally take half his shit.

I suspect it's because our culture especially the girls of our generations, have begun to have grown up on disney movies. The refrain of these movies is something along the lines of "find true love's kiss can and a happy song, follow your heart and you can't go wrong." The ideas of true love and following our hearts have become the ideas we've ingested since we were kids. I believe women are often lead far more by their emotions than are men. Thus when they feel the love go out of the relationship... when the hormones finally wear off, they think the relationship is over. They interpret "true love" as hormones. When you grow up believing that true love is the most important thing, you abandon a relationship when you don't feel the spark.
Men don't feel emotions as strongly as women. It's sad, but true, that our bodies don't produce hormones in as great quantities as those of women, thus they don't place as much value in feeling those emotions in a relationship.

The point is that women are.. Less likely to put up with a behaviour that they do not like compare to men?
Men put up with behaviours that in some cases we despise and that is because we have the belief that there is an equivalent exchange for putting up with the behaviours that we hate or dislike, women do not in most cases have that trait and will end it if they do not like a specified behaviour.

There is a degree of truth to that saying. Most women don’t marry their husbands with the idea they want their marriages to remain as their relationships when their husbands were merely their boyfriends... they actually have plans, expectations and have a plan.
The reality is marriages don’t end up becoming what they expected, wanted, changed into, etc.
So, their feelings change as a result, when they realize for the first time, well into their marriages, what their future will really look like... and then they initiate a divorce
More men don't "turn" homosexual, but they probably are more open-minded about it, or about being bi.
This is a very simple calculation that men do. Right now marriage has more negatives than positives. Many of the negatives have to do with the anti-men divorce laws, and with women filing so many divorces. In many states there is no upper limit for child support, mine was 25% of my net income, which I could not afford. I don't make that much money and she made twice what I did. But she still got child support.
Another issue is women have different needs than men and these needs tend to be more emotional. Many men just don't recognize that and don't make an effort to understand what their SO needs.
This is not a simple issue, there are many factors at work at this point in history.
People do not turn homosexual. You either are homosexual/bisexual or you are straight. There is no choice in this matter. Also I think there are plenty of more facts to dig out of this story such as why the women chose a divorce or why men might not chose to make a divorce etc..
Well its not something I have much experience in so I basically have two choices. I either sit down and read up on it or I keep it simple. I look to the side and see a brand new cider and think to myself that I got better things to do than dig myself into yet another bottomless topic.
I divorced my husband because I was bored and fed up. Different sex drives, was never at home. I led a single life but Married. He got moodier as time went on and I desperately wanted family time but would rather sleep on his days off. I was tired so was he but I made an effort for us all. I put in way more than him. I talked about it over and over with him and it never changed.
No would rather sleep or mow the lawn. It was a tough decision but I didn’t want to live life alone anymore. I wanted a partner that would also make time for Us as a family. I got fed up of seeing others in the same job doing it. I raised our son on my own practically. He provided and was a hard worker but lost sight of what and who else was important. The best thing that came of the divorce was that it forced him to be around for his son. They now have a great relationship and see each other more now than before and we get on brilliantly.

1. Unrealistic expectations --> She thinks she can change him, and I don't mean changing 10-20% of him/ his behavior. 2. Stupidity --> She has terrible judgment of character and marries an asshole and at some point she says "wow, this guy turned into such an asshole", except he's always been that way. 3. Commitment issues. --> She isn't actually ready to commit because she's never had to. The only commitments she had prior was a 2 year plan with her cell carrier. She has different expectations of what marriage means -- which seems to be a fairytale version of real life all too often.

@Dchrls78104 I have known lots of men who have chosen to stay single. Men who are normal, nice, caring, fun, with a lot to offer. Anyone- make or female - can decide to stay single. The point is that they more self sufficient they are, the nicer they are, the less likely they are to feel they need a partner and the happier they would be to be single. Everyone I have known who is desperate to get a partner wants them for ulterior motives such as money.
Simple... It's a win win for women. They get to take a man for everything he has even when they don't deserve it. Society still treats women like they are helpless homebodies who can't fend for themselves and treat men as disposable income makers.
I initated my first divorce because my ex-husband physically and mentally and I wasn't going to remain in that situation any longer I initated my second divorce because my ex-husband thought doing cocaine and other drugs was more important than me and our son. When he started leaving our son at random people's home that I didn't know, I ended it because no one is going to put my son's life at risk to get high.
@BlackParade well I had no clue he did drugs until after a couple years after my son waa born. I've never done drugs or been around people who did. It's hard to tell if you've never been exposed to it.
The real question is why not? The fact alone that they have a pussy gives them all the benefits they need to live. Why keep a husband when you have the State playing the role of your daddy that takes care of you? In my previous job I even heard women discussing it out loud without shame. "I will find a man who is foolish enough to marry me, after five years I will divorce him and then he'll pay for everything and I can stay home."
Well generally they are going to be getting the better deal.
Women are usually the ones who receive alimony and have more control over their kids after a divorce.
If a guy files for divorce he will end up having to pay alimony/child support and will have a harder time seeing his kids so there's less incentive for a guy to file for divorce.
Also women have a much easier time when it comes to dating so the wife will probably find a new partner a lot faster than her ex husband will.
Because they marry the wrong men who they're not compatible with, they spend their time thinking their men would change but they doesn't, they become tired of waiting and just go see elsewhere.
