There's a percentage of women who divorce for reasons that we'd all agree are valid: the man cheating, the man completely abandoning his responsibilities to work/earn for the family, the man being an addict (alcohol or drugs), or the man being violent. We all understand these, but these only account for about 15-20% of divorces (that women initiate) of the 100% total. Men initiate another 15-20% of divorces for the same type of reasons.
Between those two, that accounts for roughly 40% of divorces. And we'll be generous and say another 10% are for "other" reasons. That still leaves about 50%.
And if you talk to divorce lawyers, they'll tell you that this 50% is initiated by women, and it's initiated by them because they "aren't happy." For some, it's because her friends are having kids, or they're moving up the financial ladder, or they're taking expensive travel vacations, or some other thing that she doesn't have at the moment. For others, it's that SHE has found a new job or gotten a promotion and now she out-earns her husband - and suddenly she no longer feels attracted to him, because he's no longer "better than her" and women always want to date a man who is better than she is. And for some, she may have everything - the big house (with housekeepers and gardeners), the nice car, the fancy vacations, the kids, etc., but she's just bored and no amount of shopping or traveling excites her anymore. Whatever the reason she's not happy, it's not going to be long before she decides that the reason she isn't happy is because of HIM. HE was supposed to give her a life where she lived "happily ever after" and yet, she's not happy, so it MUST be his fault. She will convince herself that she "settled" and that she "deserves better" and since the laws are heavily in her favor, she's going to leave her husband and go get the better life she deserves.

Very often, she now HAS to work to survive, where before working was a choice, and that quickly loses its luster. Sure, the first 6 months or year she is single, she will be convinced that she's happier. She has all these ideas about how fun her single life will be. But there are few friends her age that are going to be there to go with her, and she'll be spending most of her time working anyway, and it's MUCH harder to be single in her 30s or 40s than it was in her 20s.

Just because women "initiate" the majority of divorces doesn't mean that the reasons aren't more evenly split.
I think it's easy for some guys to cruise along, do what they want to do, take their wives for granted, and think things are hunky dory. They can go out drinking with their buddies or come home and sit on their asses, but they don't pitch in.
They don't communicate, show appreciation, or support her emotionally. They don't want to learn or change their ways. They don't notice how hard their wives work. They don't notice her frustration or lack of fulfillment. As long as they're happy, they assume that she is happy.
Some guys think that romance is having sex when they want it. But they are unaware of their wife's needs. And if a wife becomes disinterested, some guys cheat.
So when she finally realizes that she's trapped in an unfulfilling life with no other way out than to leave, she does just that.
I'm not saying that it's not the wife's fault a good deal of the time. I'm just saying that the reasons for divorce are probably more evenly split between husbands and wives even if women are the ones who most often initiate the divorces.
i googled this like a month ago. and from what i remember it's mainly that the women who divorce felt like their emotional needs werent met by their husband basically. what that means is that the romance, emotional support, affection, etc dwindled at some point in the marriage and they couldnt go on like that. and most women need that. also it can be economic but i forgot what i saw about that. from what i read guys dont really need as much emotional support & affection as women (and also tend to receive it a lot even if the love fades out), are contented with steady sex from one woman and have their companionship needs fullfilled by just sitting around together not necessarily actively engaging together all the time. men aren't as burderned by marriage also. so men see a lot less need to divorce, than women
The feeling is that most marriages are doomed to fail, and not because anything is wrong but just because it's not real love and they are each other's plan B.
Most of divorces don't happen because any side is at fault, but they are just no fault divorces. Meaning that they either lost attraction for each other, or there wasn't ever any attraction but they kept going on as a compromise.
Most divorces are initiated by women because usually the guy is fine with keeping the marriage on even if there isn't any love. They are fine with just getting some casual sex sometimes even if if's not a real story.

It can be any or all od these or other reasons. It depends on the couple. A marriage should be built around love.
Cheating is a obvious one. I don’t think someone should give someone another chance for cheating especially not sexual cheating.
Some people divorce for more selfish reasons. Maybe they didn’t marry for the right reasons or later fell out of love for whatever reasons. Could be finances, independence, really anyrhing. But someone divorcing over finances, independence, etc are selfish and broke their wedding vows. Which makes them a liar. But even that is better then cheating on someone.
As far as lack of support goes. Yeah…. It’s miserable when a relationship is one sided and/or there is no support from one or both people. Not being there for one another. Some people think only weak men cry. But the Bible says a woman who doesn’t comfort her husband creates shaking knees. Or when someone isn’t able to be themselves.
There is also men who aren’t supportive as well. It can go both ways. Men may have a harder time showing emotions or a woman a harder time accepting them. Maybe he doesn’t know how to deal with her emotions. Or she takes her emotions out on him on stuff out of his control.
Marry the RIGHT person for the RIGHT reasons.
Because no fault divorce is an option. When I got divorced alimony and at fault divorce were just getting phased out. Like you could get a no fault easier, but showing fault meant it wouldn't be a 50/50 split.
There is so much to lose when you get divorced that sometimes you stick around in a broken marriage until you get the evidence you need, or feel like you're going to maybe commit murder or something otherwise. I'd say that scares a lot of guys out of leaving. Losing your stuff, having to pay for her lawyers, and for her to get on her feet as well as yourself, when you may not even be able to afford it is quite a deterrent.
I had to go all the way into despair, and being cheated on multiple times before I emptied my bank accounts, quit my job, and lived off credit while collecting evidence of the cheating, until I filed my taxes with no income or assets (besides debt) and then separated, and got divorced.
I don't think you should be able to leave a marriage just because you aren't happy, one or more parties has to break the bonds of matrimony. Otherwise why not stay boyfriend and girlfriend, why get married?
Because most women these days are very selfish people that only think about what is best for themselves , she doesn’t wear her partners’ shoes the same way she expects her spouse to wear hers. There is a variety of reasons, the reason for each divorce is unique. Overall though, I think men are aware that the man usually loses more in a divorce than the woman does, especially economically, and the man is more willing to "settle", continue the marriage, while the woman is not.
Men being bad partners and not being loving and supportive enough overall. The main complaints I hear are that he doesn't do anything or he became too distant until she felt alone. Cheating would be the other major issue.

Because the majority of women have commitment issues and are moralless thieves. The simple solution is just don't marry them to begin with. The compromised solution if you feel like playing Russian roulette is to first live in an equitable distribution state and second acquire all of your necessary property before marriage. Own your land, home, business, vehicles, etc. free and clear. Have title to your property, keep the receipts, and have all debts satisfied before you ever consider tying the not. Refuse to ever move from your home that you own and hold title to. Then if she bails ship, at most she gets like half the sofa from some redecorating project that you purchased together with commingled funds if she wants to pay someone to come haul it away. Consider setting up a trust to protect your assets and potentially income before marriage if you own your own company as well. You can always lower your salary and invest your companies earnings in your home business for example so that she can't leach off your earnings. If she wants to hit the bricks with nothing, then you guys really had serious issues.
women initiate most divorces because they typically don't have to bear the burden of negative consequences of them. the alimony, child support, child custody, asset division, all goes towards them. of the "50%" that men supposedly get to keep, a large piece of that must continue to be given on a regular basis to the woman who no longer has sexual or custodial responsibilities to the husband's house.

In the 'modern' western culture Marriage doesn't exist and for women it is sold as an arrangement for their happiness rather than simply a security arrangement for children.
As such most people who claim to be married men and women are not actually married to anything but their state of mind. As Men go into this relationships with far lower expectations, they tend to accept it and even enjoy it for what it is.
Women on the other hand today not only have the world throwing itself at them promising alternatives but also go into the relationships with far higher expectations. Expectations that being this is really not an Marriage to each other but to their own feelings invariably fall short just the same.
Thus logically they start to look to alternatives which promise a return to that happiness they thought was the whole point. Which tends to drive them to seek divorce.

The modern independent woman always initiates the divorce because they were already cheating on the guys and they found someone temporary interesting than what they have. They will never become wife material to which is why guys don't consider them as wife material. If it was easy to get you to brake it off with a guy then they really won't stay with you. There are more women on dating apps with multiple dates lined up for guys who give and pay $$$. They don't know measurements and always say I want a 6'5" guy with a six didget income. That's like.002% with a 9-12 inch banana. The average hight of a man is 5'9" and the banana is 5.1 to 5.5 inches. So get a ruler. There are 2 parts of a ruler there is cm and inches. I picked other… in most marriages women have issues. These might not be big issues but issues that for some reason us guys never see. Then other small issues will pop up and again the woman is bothered by it and the guys don’t even see it. Till one day the woman says “ that’s it! I’m leaving”. And the guy says “what? What’s wrong? Everything is wonderful!”
So the problem is that women will (for good reasons) not what to bring up little issues. Even if they do the guy with think nothing about it because it’s a little issue. Improper upbringing, they are incentivized to do so, they have shitty friends who run their husband down for "not doing his share". My wife met a woman (not a friend) and this bitch upon hearing our story tried to give my wife advice about how she was oppressed this and controlled that. I am happily married of the 2 of us I think I know who is doing things correctly. My husband does more for me than you, he provides for me you don't. I find it laughable that men try put the blame on the woman who wants the divorce. Now this is not every situation but I’ve seen it as a common occurrence.
Basic run down; couple have kids, wife cooks, cleans, takes care of kids, etc. Husband works, comes home and relaxes after a hard long day (often goes for a beer with the guys after work or drinks at home) and then wants attention from the wife after the kids have been out down and the place cleaned up.
So much neglect happens towards the wife… no help, lost connection/love. Then the woman is put down for not looking how she did before kids or for not doing enough but she is exhausted and has lost herself because her husband couldn’t be a man, a father or a husband.
Too many wives are single mothers and I’ve seen it out in public with my own eyes. Then when the wife wants a divorce then the husband is in shock 🙄

People are just guessing into people's relationships and marriages but no one actually knows what goes on behind closed doors when no one is looking.
