It took me 40 years to finally stop feeling sad about my husband who abandoned our new baby son and myself.

I say that because even after all of those years had passed and I would hear songs on the car radio that would make my eyes tear up.

Yes, I moved on with my life during those 40 years and dated lots of guys but none of them were him.

It wasn't until I met my late boyfriend that my ex no longer had that effect on me anymore.
