My ex boyfriend was looking at me (checking me out) when I visited my boyfriend at work

so, just wondering what the stare at me is suppose to mean, he often is busy and doesn't talk to me.

my ex just watched me and a few days ago when I came to visit my bf.

I thought he would look away but he didn't.

it made me slightly uncomfortable and I don't know what to do or say.

I always find it awkward.

If this is a recent change of boyfriends from him to your new boyfriend then he will still have feelings for you wether he wants them or not. Unfortunately humans can't shut off emotions or feelings like robots. I think EVERYONE goes through these types of feelings with exes. You don't want to be with that person but yet you still have feelings for them and don't want to see them with someone else. While he was staring I'm sure memories and thoughts of ... "is she happier with him more than she was with me?"... "Did I make a mistake?" or ... "im not comfortable with the situation".

There are a lot of scenarios as to why he was staring but the only one who really knows is him. If you feel awkward then don't visit your boyfriend at work. If he(ex) isn't talking to you or avoiding you then he is trying to resolve things in his head about you. If you broke it off with him it makes the issue worse because of unresolved feelings on his side and going to their place of business to see your boyfriend is only inviting tension and awkwardness. If your the one who broke it off put yourself in his position and think about how you would feel. If he broke it off with you then that's his issue. I would just avoid visiting at work if you feel uncomfortable and your current boyfriend should understand.
