One time I woke up and my boyfriend was staring at me

we were just laying in his bed and I dozed off, then whenever I woke up he was laying there on his side next to me staring at me. when I caught him he put his eyes down and started to act as if he wasn't staring. he's actually done this before but not while I'm asleep before. we'll be watching a movie or I'll be doing whatever and I look over and he'll be just staring at me.

once I jokingly said what? he said what? I said "why are you staring at me?"

The reason he's doing that is because he feels such a strong amount of affection towards you. He likes you so much that he gets utils (units of satisfaction) just from looking at you. You like looking at someone you find attractive, right? Think about when you know that that person is with you and also has a connection with you.

It goes by the same basic principle, but with children, parents feel it out of them just being their kids. With a relationship with a partner, it has to be "earned." This feeling basically transcends sex, and is much deeper, which is why he is embarrassed when you see him looking at you, because these are very deep emotions.

Creepy? Yes, it can be, but pretty much everyone does it if they are in that position.

My boyfriend just told me that he woke up to me staring at him and then I put my head down as if I wasn't too. I'm really confused and creeped out because I didn't consciously do that at all. I don't remember anything I thought I was sleeping. He said I did it once before and I said I love you. Why are you guys freaking out? You look at him because you love him. It's a normal thing to do. Someone some day said that it was creepy and suddenly everybody is freaking out for no reason. We often do it unconsciously and while we are staring, we'll be viewing videos in our mind of nice moments we spent with that person. What's to freak about?

@JuicyBrain it freaked me out because I had no recognition of doing that at all, I thought I was sleeping. Like it is creepy to wake up to someone staring at you. I would be really creeped out too. I just don't know what to think of it
