One of the basic needs of modern times is communication. We always communicate with our friends, relatives, parents and loved ones with different kinds of medium. Computers and internet have made the world like a small village where everybody is connected to everybody else at the click of a button. Sounds easy, right?

Unless you traveled to the future and have no clue what it is about, I would assume that you know most basics. So we said chat away, right? You can do so individually or in a group, where the latter usually takes place in a Chat Room. Great for making friends, talking to strangers, making fun of them and of course being made fun of without realizing it. Finding one that is appropriate for you is the key, and oh, not getting kicked out, too. If you play your cards right, you might even end up finding yourself flirting online.

Pimp Your Chat Room
Change the default colors, fonts, backgrounds, themes, profile pictures and whatever else you are able to, Immediately! There are a million fish in the sea. You want to make an impact and quick. And those smileys and emoticons, make sure to have some customized and don't refrain from using them. For those who don't know what a smiley is yet :) Show happiness, anger, love, embarrasment or surprise with these little critters. All of these features will help you create your virtual image so just like anything else, moderation is the key. You wouldn't want to look like you just poured all of your foundation on your face, elbows and back of your ears right?

ASL is almost always the opener of a chat conversation and it stands for Age, Sex, Location. Caution Caution! Don't volunteer this information out just like that.
