Wow, sorry she passed. I can handle a lot of things, but losing a baby almost broke me. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a soulmate. But you seem to have achieved a sense of peace and enlightenment.
I'm sorry as well, I can't imagine what you must have went through. But if it weren't for a very great friend of mine I would've wasted away that first year.
I'm glad you had that support. I wasn't so fortunate. I'm frankly lucky to be alive. I fell deep into a Manhattan spiral of meds, booze and bad relationships. Very nearly died. But God kept me for some reason. It still sucks sometimes, but I'm a lot better than I was.
It's hard to come back from a personal loss like that. My friend pointed out the best way I could honor her memory was to be the man she loved and as long as I did that she would always be with me.
Damn lol, you're about to make me shed a tear. Something I haven't done in a couple years. An inspiration.

I agree I'm in my 40s and look at woman completely different. I have No faith or trust in them anyore
It is seriously like you read my mind and wrote this, exactly my thoughts!
Yeah but girls don't like guys who need a girlfriend.
That's like the major reason they get turned off.
I don't need a girlfriend. I want a girlfriend if she's worthy.
They also don't want a guy who isn't interested in EVER committing. Keep your heart and mind open to the possibility that someone wonderful can come along or you may be cheating yourself out of happiness.
@drakeondegrassi was that just an addition or you implying that I am like that?
Coz I did say if she's "worthy", so yes I will commit if she's the right one.
Just an addition!
@drakeondegrassi ah ok.
But it's better to add "not being needy" is a bit more important than your intentions.
All Girls can sense if ypure needy, but not all girls can sense your intentions.
But of course it's good to have good intentions
I don't know, my now husband, when I first met him, was going through the loss of his best friend to IED in Afghanistan and to see the way he vulnerably and openly loved his friend made me love him more. He needed someone to be there for him and later that summer I needed someone too when I got really sick for half a year and it made us stronger.
Maybe not "clingy"? Or "obsessive"?
@drakeondegrassi I would still say needy is the word.
I would think he didn't need you, but appreciated the fact that you were there. The same for you in your situation. The appreciation grew the love and the "want". But clingy and obsessive is also equally bad too.
Yeah, I'd agree with that. We both would have survived but the other person made our life happier and easier. Well said!
I really like this message. I'm in my 20s and trying not to rush into anything.
I'm not interested in a girlfriend for two reasons. I can get everything I want without one and no benefit in committing to a girl.
You're only saying that because you can't get any. Not because you consciously don't want one. Nice try though.
lol why would i want a girlfriend. thats basically just somebody who will be mad at me all the time.
This was such a nice take! :)
I loved your take! Agree 100%
I really enjoyed this :) Great Take!
Yeah dude just get a girl bff instead
are you hurt?
What is up with all these mytakes about why people want or don't want to be on a relationship?
Because most people play games...
Yay! Lesser competition.
What happened to the one you got to love?
