Why I truly want a girlfriend

I never truly realized why I wanted a girlfriend until now. Originally it was because I thought it would be amazing to be best friends with someone you share strong feelings with. However just recentely I discovered the true reason, and that reason is I want to make a woman feel confident and good about herself in a world that is constantly attacking every aspect of her being. While my original thought holds true as something that will happen, the realization came from me trying to imagine how I would feel if I were a female in this day of age in which the media says you need to look, talk, act and dress a certain way.

I want to make at least one woman feel confident about herself. To be able to reassure he when she has doubts. To be able to make her feel beautiful when she points out her imperfections. To just be there whenever she needs me, or give her space when she needs time to herself. To be able to make her feel good about herself, in a world designed to make her hate her own being. To just be able say, "You are amazing, and I love you." One day...

I think no human, really "needs" someone to be with. Yeah, I know it's a part of the life, but, why can't we be happy just by ourselves? I think before wanting someone in our lives, we need to love ourselves, then we will be ready to share our lives with the special one.

Right now waiting, I have no one I am interested in.

Do you need to be in a relationship with them to do that?

No you do not, you can be just friends with her and still be there to support them.

so then why does that make you want to have a girlfriend?

So that I can be there for her all the time, and be able to be tell her exactly what she needs to hear which, some things you cannot say to someone who is just a friend.
