Fun Texts To Send

I was reading this totally awesome guide on how to text a girl. Y'know, for the heck of it. Some of the points I agree would work on me.

But how do you throw off a guy's game? How do you check if he's taking his cues from some unstable dude from the internet?

Well. I have ways. Feel free to add more LOL.

1) "You are not one of those girls (insert negative trait)?"

He is negging you. Quite good in fact. Reply with,

"Yes why haha"
"Kind of"
"What makes you say that?"

Guys, most of them anyway, rely on women DENYING they can be bad.

I usually accept it.

2) "There's this cute girl I want to talk to but I am shy. Any pointers?"

He is trying to wriggle out of friendzone by making you jealous. He is using the classic "you are the only lady I can trust" trope.

Guilty of ever trusting this. But in my defence, the guy was like really, really, really useful. Friends from my first college know what I am talking bout. (Yes indeed, females share texting screenshots.)

Now, I say,

"If I knew that, I wouldn't be talking to you."

3) The word "why" is such a clever anti-pick-up line. Whenever they douse out some half baked assumption about you, just question it.

>"You must have tons of guys chasing you"
>"Why"
>"You seem interesting"[bs]
>"As interesting as a papaya, yes"

4) He sends a bold meme. You roll your eyes because that's basic male behaviour.

Just ignore.

Unless it's super funny or remotely cute. Laugh emojis.

I only comment on the meme if the guy and I are friends. Otherwise, its a low effort come on. I cringe at "low effort come on" coz its so Tiktokish — let's call a spade a spade.

5) "We are going to XYZ place. I will see you at 6"

This will work, a lot of women lack assertiveness, sometimes I do too, though in my case, there's a massive list of foods and drinks I LOATHE. Then again, I don't go out much.

scenario 1 : i admire how much you know the city
scenario 2 : i fight with the cook because my food isn't perfect

So no comments.

6) Zoning...

"My sister does the exact same thing!" or "We will be the bestest of friends"

This will never work for conservative cultures, where people are encouraged to avoid romantic attraction at all cost. I guess the book was aiming at white ladies.

Lads, if you try the sister thing on a dating app, it will give off creepy. Just saying.

7) "Come on, you can do better than that" to a photo of you.

Let's see... you ain't no hotel concierge in What Happens in Vegas. Do not take the bait. If he doesn't appreciate your pictures, he is never going to receive any! End of story.

Beware, this text might be following a "you look super adorable". I usually stop reading after the word cute. Highly recommended.

8. "You were ghosting me"

Apologise thoroughly. Sincerely. No excuses, we don't ghost, we warn and block.

9) "Sorry i was busy hey wassup"

Non committal behaviour, many women feel flattered that they were chosen, that he is popular, blah blah blah.

My advice? Ignore him until he says something better, more meaningful, or at least explains himself. Until then, seen.

One liners are meh, he is either a solid player or a player wannabe or some regular guy that games 17 hours straight, if you like these, kudos!

I am aware work projects and family parties can often get in the way but he could have said "Busy rn ttyl" unless he simply doesn't care for your time, and wants to create the illusion of mystery and depth and scarcity.
