My husband has a lot of social issues, I try to just agree with him so that he feels better. He has a very fragile ego so I generally tell him that it isn't him, that the problem is everyone else.

It's not true at all that girls "hate" socially awkward guys. But if you're so shy or socially inept that it's difficult to get to know you, then there might not be much to draw us in.

I know it can be tough to get started. But you have to begin trying, so that you can learn. There's no other way to start to feel comfortable with it.

I think you'll have to start by doing something other than simply going to work and then straight home. Try to reach out to people at work more, or join a group for a hobby or volunteer work. You could even ask your family members to help you find friends by introducing you to some of theirs.

That's just silly. It's never too late. I know it's easier said than done, but if you don't put yourself in situations to meet people, you can't expect it to happen.

How is it silly I'm wrecking my health being sad and miserable looking at other couples and wishing I could be like them if I set myself free from it I won't feel that anymore and I can focus on my career and want I want to accomplish in life

It would be silly to close yourself to the possibility, but it wouldn't be silly to stop obsessing about it. Maybe you should do that right now. Take some time to stop thinking about it so much. It might fall into your lap when you least expect it.

I can't stop thinking about it every time I see a couple kiss or hug I think damn it why can't that be me and I very passionate with my feelings so a girl would experience that

The more you say, the more I think you might benefit from some professional help. You have a really unhealthy mindset and attitude, and have obviously had a very rough time of it. But there is no reason why you should feel ugly. I would seriously suggest seeking some mental health advice- I think that could help you get a fresh perspective on the situation.

It's hard not to be. You've been dealt a tough hand. But at some point, you have to stop letting the past defeat you, and start taking responsibility for your future. If you want to move past this, you need to accept that YOU'RE the one who has to take action to make it happen. You can't wait around for the problem to fix itself.

Well its to a point where even family told me this these things and the saying is family will never lie to you and to this day I never had a girlfriend so there has to be some truth to me not being attractive I know I'm shy but even shy guys do better then me

There is no good reason why you shouldn't be able to find a girlfriend. your family was cruel and unsupportive if they made you feel that you don't deserve a relationship.

Look, if you want to get past this and develop a healthier mindset, you need to see a counselor. Period. That's the advice I can give you.

Everytime I talk to my sister about it nowadays she still says you shouldn't focus on a girlfriend

It's true that sometimes the harder you look for something, the more it evades you. But the fact is, you're actually doing nothing at all right now to change your situation. If you don't want to focus on trying to date, at least focus on becoming your best and happiest self so that you can feel more confident and enjoy our life more. A relationship will follow. But for god's sake, do something, or nothing will change. I'm not going to repeat myself again.

My current crush is so adorably awkward around me. I love it. The only girls who are gonna be like that are the stuck-up ones. Its harder to talk to awkward guys, sure. But hate? No way!! Quite the opposite.

I think most people are put off somewhat by socially awkward people - unless they have charisma - then it can be funny and cute... But that's rare.
