I consider it to be a very "young" kiss. When I was a teen and college student, it was the kiss of choice, but as I became more experienced and learned to calm down, I sort of stopped trying to devour the woman and worked more on gentle seduction. I was never complimented on my kissing ability until after college so I think it generally was a good change. However, when I was in my mid-20s, dated a 19 year old girl (yeah, I know) and I remember that on our first kiss, she basically jumped on me and rammed her tongue into my mouth. I was shocked! It was like being tossed in frigid water and I almost had no idea what to do! To me, that just sort of backs up my view on the french kiss as being a highly sexual, teenage kiss.
