How do I ask my boyfriend to pay for a brazilian wax he wants me to get?

It is to my understanding that Brazilian waxes are expensive and painful. I'm broke. How do I ask him to pay for it?

PS: He's the one who wants me to get one done for a special occasion.

He paid for it, but then asked me to give him $20 because he was tight on money. What do you think?
