Is the first kiss a big deal?

So I am 17 and never been kissed. I went out with a guy and hoped it might be with him. But it wasn't.

But I thought it was for the best, maybe I'll get a better guy.

But I am tired of saying I'm virgin lips and being 17.

Im gonna go out with this guy soon, and I think, if he tries to kiss me do I let him? Or it can be seen wrong to do it on the first date? Will it hurt if my first kiss wasn't with someone THAT special, but just with an attractive guy who asked me out? If I date another guy later will he see me as less is I already had my first kiss? Does it matter who I got it with? Or should I just go for it and later can laugh about it if it was a bad kiss?

your first kiss isn't like your first time under the sheets. if you have a good time on the date and after the night is over if you wanna kiss then do it. I thought way to much about my first kiss n was so damn nervous I didn't wanna mess up or something but when it happened I looked back at all the worrying and shit I did n thought that was dumb it wasn't bad or a big deal like I made it. so jus go for it when your ready don't worry about what other people think or say about not having a kiss yet that's up to you n that's it. main thing is don't stress it or make it a big deal cuz it's not worth it.

Well, it can be a big deal.. If it's with the person you really like.. But, it's not this magical firework type thing that happens.. Make it special if you want to though. I had mine at 11, and like it ever since.. LOL..

I know but my question was: Does it really matter if I do it with someone Im not in love with? Will that make me feel bad later? Or is not big deal and won't affect future relationships

Well, yeah in a way it does if that's what you choose to do.. But at the same time, no it won't make you feel like bad or affect future relationships.. LOL.. There's nothin that's taken with a kiss except the feeling of feelin someones lips against yours.. But if you don't care, then it's not a big deal..

Most people's first kiss was an awkward experience at 12 years old. Its ultimately inconsequential and will most likely be a good memory even if it's bad.

My first kiss was a very special memory coz I dated the girl for like 2 months and then got to make out with her... so yeah it does get special if it is with someone special and you shouldn't do it just for doing's sake
