Tinder Dating Question: I'm 29. I went on a second date with this guy. He paid for the first meal together. Should I pay for the second meal?

I paid, and told my older sister I paid for it, and she was like don't do that. Let them pay for you. What should I do? I mean I still don't even know if I really even like the guy. He did ask me out the second time, it's not like I asked him to get brunch. I guess I should just let him pay for the first few dates? Girls, what's your opinion?

Also, guys if a girl pays for the second date do you take it as an insult, or a nice gesture. I don't know what I'm doing really. I just pay because I don't think it's fair for the guys to always pay, but honestly that does get really expensive. What's your take? (Especially if I don't even know if I like him yet.)

I see it as whoever asks out who. So if you asked for the date you should pay. If he did then he should pay. I see dating no different as friendship in terms of payment. Say you need a friend and just want to out and blow some steam so you invite a friend out, wouldn't you pay for them? Seeing as you wanted to talk and spend time with them?

I mean personally, I'd probably offer to split the bill rather than let her pay by herself on the second date, but if she insisted then I wouldn't have a problem with it. I certainly wouldn't be insulted by the gesture either way.
