My boyfriend has a lovely home his dad earns good money so they live in a nice area.

I've just moved back into my mums flat it isn't dirty or anything it's just not a nice posh house like his.

am I being silly or could this put him of?

I wouldn’t worry to much about it! If he likes you he shouldn’t worry about a materialistic thing like a house. I have a girlfriend and when we were about 19-20 she met a guy who made 6 figures a year and he is 4 years older than her and she felt the same way you do because her parents house was not nice at all but he still accepted her. You're being silly. You're being silly because you cannot change where you come from and you shouldn't have to. If a guy doesn't like your roots then he doesn't like you. If he is too good for your mum's place then in his mind he's too good for you too and you shouldn't want any part of a guy like that. So, if he's worth knowing he'll have no issues with your mum's place.
