don't know that women have it easier then men. So many of my single friends are struggling to find decent guys and they are lovely girls.
I know dating was difficult for me because it was hard to find a guy who was actually interested in having a long term relationship. In the end I had to hold back a little bit so I could find that guy who wasn't just interested in only a short term fling. The guys that dumped me because I wouldn't put out straight away were no loss to me, some expected me to be heart broken (nope) I way too guarded by that stage.

Being AWESOME in my opinion is turning up on time, putting in the effort to look nice, using your manners, not doing all of the talking, being a good listener and definitely not drinking too much on said date.

I wasn't trying to say things are easier for guys. I just never hear anything about difficulties of men while hearing how women need this and women need that, need more women in STEM, and then there's a march for women. Men start a mens' rights group and the media labels them sexists.

I've heard many women with the same experience you had. It can be hard to find a serious committed guy (and even more rare there's attraction). The amount of skepticism and defensiveness women tend to develop towards men is partly why it's hard for men to be taken seriously initially. It can be hard for both of us.
