Is saying “I’ll let you know” rejection?

So I went on a date with this guy and we had a great time. At the end of the date he asked if I wanted to keep in contact because he did and I said yes. Once I had left he texted me saying he had a good time and I agreed and said we should do it again sometime. He seemed eager.

After this we’ve messaged everyday. We flirt quite a bit. He ended up hinting to me after a week of texting everyday that he wanted to hang out the next week. I agreed but never really built on it and said what day, but changed the subject to something else we were talking about. That week is now almost over and I felt kind of bad for changing the subjects because maybe it made it seem like I didn’t want to so I messaged him asking him when he was free next.

This is how it went

Me: Hey I forgot to ask you when you’re free next to hang out!

Him: I’ll have to let ya know! I need to check my roster!

Me: okay sure let me know then

Him: will do! When are you free?

Me: I only have Friday off but I could work around other days.

Him: okay I gotcha!

Me: Sweet let me know then. I’m working early so I’m going to sleep

Him: okay I will! Goodnighttttt :)

I’m so unsure about this. I’m not sure if I just got rejected or he legitimately will let you know. I feel like he wouldn’t of asked me the days I’m free if he didn’t want to. But if he did want to he wouldn’t of just said i’ll let you know. I kind of just cut it off and said I’m sleeping because I thought he might have been politely rejecting me. I honestly can’t tell though!

I think I’m just going to give him 3 days to get back to me and if he doesn’t then I’ll never contact him again. I’m just overthinking so much because I was in a shitty relationship before this and now I’m kind of scared to date.
