I’ve stopped smoking a year ago, I’ve tried everything and vaping is the only thing that works for me, there’s no smell off my breath, I’m not doing anymore damage to my health than someone who eats meat or eggs, so is it still a turn off?
The amount of people here that think vaping is not bad for your health disgusts me. Vaping is actually worse for you because it has much more concentrated drugs. It is a deal breaker for me. But honestly even if I was okay with it, the fact that you have no clue that its still harmful is a deal breaker.
I don't have a problem with people making their own decisions to use vapes, but I think it is idiotic and I won't be a part of it. And obviously I don't want to date an idiotic person, therefore I won't date anyone that vapes.

Lol do you work for the tobacco industry? It’s not nearly as harmful as smoking tobacco, I never said it wasn’t harmful, we can’t know that until they do tests on the long term effects, just out of curiosity do you eat meat?
I for one think plain old nicotine and some blueberry flavored water vapor is probably less damaging for a person than a mix of nicotine, hydrogen cyanide, formaldehyde, lead, arsenic, ammonia, benzene, and all the other hundreds of harmful and cancer-causing substances found in your everyday cigarette, but I guess that’s just me.
@CarpetDenim I agree that cigarettes have some disturbing ingredients, but vapes also have some ingredients that are bad for you, and unfortunately that information just isn't as available to the public as it should be
Must be careful where you get information on vapes. Much like many other widely used items there can be a lot of misinformation and pseudo science around it. Not to mention the push from large tobbaco companies to restrict or supress sales of these products. Vaping poses a threat to the bottom line of these companies because its pulling in the younger genereations and hurting sales of their old fashioned products.
Vaping isn't harmful and it helps quit smoking so for me no it wouldn't be. I understand it, nicotine is addictive but harmless to vape its the other chemicals in cigarettes that cause damage. Valing and smoking aren't the same thing and people who think it is just needs to learn more about it... oh n well done for quitting

How do we know they aren’t harmful though? I don’t think they’ve done any long term tests, they are definitely much better than cigarettes obviously, I just don’t know if they are completely harmless and thanks 🙂
I thought all sorts of smoking, vaping and pot would be a deal breaker, until I found a person who forced me to see it doesn't matter. But the habit is still really annoying. The craving for nicotine and the withdrawal. It's not as bad for your health, but you're still addicted to the habit of smoking.

From what you just said i think the problem is your caring to muxh about what other people do or think about you. Vaping is better for u than smoking and if the girl is gonna get shitty over it she's not right for u
I have a problem with it if they decided to start vaping for no reason (no reason usually meaning "it looked cool"). A pointless nicotine addiction. I know several people who have completely waned off of cigarettes with the help of vape and I see nothing wrong with that.

Yeah I don’t get that, why do it to yourself, I suppose you could say the same with smoking cigarettes, it’s been great help to me and I’m slowly working my way down in the strength of the liquid, I don’t want to be on them my whole life
I've just started vaping this month. I was an alcoholic, and doing so has allowed me to quit drinking altogether. If your physical appearance was obliterated in clouds of vapor like the picture, I'm sure it'd be a turn off. But if it just produces a little vapor I don't see what the problem could be.

I switched from smoking cigars to vape... after about a month of coughing shit up, it's almost as if I quit inhaling anything at all besides my addiction to nicotine. But yeah, that constant cough is gone and my breath is better... I think it's better than it was.
Yes, for me. I think any kind of smoking is gross smelling and idiotic for the obvious health reasons... I smell it all the time when I'm walking in the city, against my will mind you. I don't want it in my own home.
Also, I didn't read the description until now, but: smoking via vape may be more 'pure' in the sense of not inhaling the carcinogens from traditional smoking, but it contains a much higher pure nicotine content, which is just as damaging to health.
Hopefully not, though I've heard studies saying that while vaping is successful in getting people off cigarettes, it often just acts as a replacement for it in the long run...
In the past it wouldn’t have been a dealbreaker, but one friend from work seems to love doing it when I’m with him in the privacy of the stock room, so much so that I’ve grown sick & tired of it & no longer appreciate the sight of anyone (girls particularly) vaping

True, but him doing it first or second time round I didn’t find it rude. I found it annoying when he started to do it at every opportunity, to the point where I struggled to picture him without the thing in his hand, held up halfway & ready to be used at any moment 😖
I actually do like the guy himself. He’s quite the comedian & I try to spend as much time around him to make my workday better. It’s just his bad habit of vaping. Back in the days, he only smoked but it wasn’t the same since he obviously couldn’t do that indoors during our shifts like vaping 😒
It wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me, but it would be a point in the against section. I irrationally dislike the use of most mind-altering substances for recreational use, the exception being caffeine.
On top of that; an addictive personality is not positive - as I have had an experience where a girlfriend developed an addiction for me and my company - which was very unhealthy.
So, my mom actually vapes, and it kind of upsets me because I worry she will start smoking again. However, if I know she is absolutely NEVER going to start smoking again it doesn't really bother me. As long as you are sure you will never start smoking cigarettes again, I don't see a problem. I'd advise, not to vape in places indoors. Even if it's, "just," a vape, it still seems rude and turn-off-ish to use it inside.
It’s a dealbreaker if it’s some stupid teenage boy who thinks he’s cool because he got his hands on a vape, but if it’s a case of a guy who used to smoke cigarettes and used vaping as a means of quitting, I am personally much more accepting of that
Vaping is worse than regular smoking. 20 times worse. (Fact) It’s a deal breaker to girls of course. I’m not even supposed to breathe that stuff in. Total deal breaker for me.
@SentientBrick I've seen it on the tv with the puppets beeping each other out. so I can't really quote it exactly. there is two of them and it says on there. I'm actually serious about this. if you have seen it. I'm not sure what channel though.
Actually, there’s a ton of chemicals that cause cancer in vaping. One of which is called formaldehyde. Another very specific chemical is called diacetyl. That one is found a vape flavoring. It’s linked to a lung disease called bronchiolitis obliterans - popcorn lung.
Oh, so its definitely not for stress relief or as a poor crutch for anxiety and depression. They do it merely to be addicted to something. How intuitive of you.
No need to get angry... I just don't like it. Being an alcoholic is a dealbreaker for me too even if their drinking started to relieve stress or anxiety.
