The question is always being asked by my parents.

You could always show that you’ve learned grammar properly and respond, “well.”

But seriously, think of something your teacher/professor covered in class recently and answer with that.

“I’m learning about chromatic scales in music.”

“I learned how to conjugate the verb ‘to know’ in Russian.”

“Gaussian elimination is cool, but I don’t know when I’ll ever use it.”

I did that the first thousand times they asked me that.

I feel like all they really care to hear is for me to admit myself of a mistake like I made less than an A on something and then I get heavily belittled.
